Michael Alscher, B Comm
Chairman
Michael is Executive Director and Investment Committee Member at Crescent Capital Partners. His experience prior to Crescent was in strategy consulting and investment management. He is an Executive Director and Founder of Crescent Capital Partners and jointly responsible for the management of the business and investment and strategic analysis of potential and existing portfolio companies.
Michael previously worked as a strategy consultant for the L.E.K Partnership and Bain International, both international strategy consulting firms. In this role he worked predominantly in the areas of restructures, mergers and acquisition, valuation, market entry and development strategies across a number of industry sectors
Paul Mirabelle, LLB, MBA
Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director
Paul has led NHC Group Pty Ltd since the inception of the company in July 2006. Since then the business has extended it presence throughout Australia and has now moved into the New Zealand market. Prior to forming NHC Group Pty Ltd, Paul was CEO of a ASX listed healthcare (radiology) company, Executive Vice President of Telus, a Canadian telecommunication company and Partner with The Boston Consulting Group. His has leadership experience in business strategy, major structural and organisational change programs, consolidation plays, startup ventures and mergers and acquisitions.
Paul holds an MBA and LL.B from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. He is based in Sydney.
Michael Lukin, BSc (Hons), CFA, AIAA
Director
Michael is Division Director of Macquarie Funds Management and is involved in the due diligence and analysis of investments decisions within the Alternative Investments team. Before joining Macquarie Funds Management, Michael spent over three years as an asset consultant with Towers Perrin, providing advice on investment matters and manager selection to superannuation funds and master trust clients. This included working with the Alternative Investments Group of Total Risk Management, a subsidiary of Towers Perrin, on alternative asset manager selection and policy. Michael was involved in the review of international private equity fund of funds and conducted due diligence of private equity managers for the Australian Federal Government’s second IIF program.
Michael has a degree in Applied Mathematics with Honours from the University of Sydney, majoring in financial mathematics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
Nathanial Thompson, LLB, B.Comm
Director
Nathanial has been a member of the board of NHC Group Pty Ltd at various points since acquisition of NHC and is currently an Investment Director with Crescent Capital Partners, a leading Australian private equity fund.
He is responsible for the analysis and management of existing and future potential investments in the fund. Nathanial has been with Crescent Capital for more than five years and prior experience includes being a management consultant at McKinsey & Co.
Nathanial holds a LLB and B.Comm and is based in Sydney.
Simon Birrell, B.Comm, P&C
Simon has been a member of the board of NHC Group Pty Ltd at various
points since acquisition of NHC and is currently an Investment Manager
with Crescent Capital Partners, a leading Australian private equity
fund.
He is involved in the analysis and management of existing and future
potential investments in the fund. Simon has been with Crescent Capital
for over two years and prior experience includes being a management
consultant at LEK Consulting.
Simon holds a B.Comm/ P&C and is based in Sydney.
Ross Koscharsky, B.Econ, M.Comm, CA
Chief Financial Officer / Secretary, NHC Group Pty Ltd
Ross joined NHC Group Pty Ltd in August 2008. He has over 15 years experience involving both financial and operational roles. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working with high-growth companies in the technology, manufacturing and FMCG industries. Prior to NHC Group Pty Ltd Ross was the Group CFO of Geon Group, the trans-tasman visual communications and print group. He holds Bachelor of Economics and Masters in Commerce degrees from Macquarie University and is a Chartered Accountant. Focussed on assisting high growth companies in achieving both expansion and exit strategies, Ross has spent much of his career implementing standardised systems and processes in acquisitive environments as well as managing bank and investor expectations. In the community, Ross has previously been the Treasurer of Telstra Childflight and is currently on the Business Appeals Committee of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
